Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Snapn, Inc. ("Snapn", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites, browser extension, and applications (the "Services").

We design Snapn for teams in regulated and security-conscious environments. Wherever possible, we minimize what we collect and keep your data within the region you choose.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: name, work email, organization, and authentication identifiers.
• Guide content: the screenshots, steps, annotations, and metadata you capture or upload.
• Usage data: feature interactions, device and browser type, and diagnostic logs.
• Billing data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

3. Capture and sensitive data

The Snapn browser extension captures screenshots only while a recording is active. Fields marked as passwords, payment inputs, and other sensitive patterns are masked before any screenshot is stored.

Enterprise plans add automatic detection and redaction of additional PII before capture is saved. You remain responsible for reviewing guides before sharing them externally.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, and improve the Services; to authenticate users; to deliver support; to communicate about your account; and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your guide content to train third-party AI models without your explicit configuration.

5. Data residency and transfers

You choose a hosting region (United States, European Union, Canada, or United Arab Emirates). Guide content and user data are stored on servers physically located in that region and are not replicated to other regions.

Where international transfers are necessary for limited operational functions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, you have 30 days to export your guides via PDF or API, after which data is permanently deleted.

You may request deletion at any time and receive a deletion certificate on request.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security testing. See our Security center for details.
